"Lazy Eye" - Ellen Uttley

Your beautiful eye,

It wanders.

“One eye looking at you,

One looking for you”

Grandad always said,

When mine did the same thing.

When the patch goes on,

We will buy you a pirate hat.

We will tickle your chin

As you pick out glasses

With your sister's help.

I will hold your hand

As the world pops into focus.

I will watch your face

As you take it in.
